Our Koala Package and Dingo Pack party packages include catering, whilst our Joeys Edition party package is suited to self-catered or selecting optional 'add-on' catering platters to your party package. 

Please refer to the individual zoo party package links above for full catering inclusions, and add-on catering pricing.

All catering platters from Symbio include appropriate compostable plates, napkins, cups, and spoons.

In regard to specific food allergies, we need to know every circumstance ahead of time.

Where possible, we will substitute food offerings to accommodate your dietary requirements. In the event we cannot provide an appropriate alternative, we may need to remove our catering component from the party, to ensure that no child with allergies condition is compromised at any time.

Please note that our food is prepared in a kitchen where gluten, dairy, and other known allergens may be present. While we take all reasonable steps to minimize the risk of cross-contamination, any product may contain traces as our entire menu, including party platters, is produced in the same kitchen.

Valid season pass membership holders booking a zoo party may enjoy the following benefits:

  • Ability to transfer party package child and adult admission inclusions to another guest.
  • 10% discount on optional add-on catering platters (please note this does NOT apply to add-on admissions or lolly bags).

To receive the season pass holder benefits, please contact our Guest Services team prior to adding any 'add-ons' during the online booking process. Discounts cannot be accessed online.

Discount pricing refunds cannot be provided for add-on catering platters made to online bookings.

We want your event to be suited to your requirements and budget, and only you know what inclusions can make that happen.

To take the hassle out of your event planning, you have the opportunity to tailor your party package to suit your needs and budget. Simply select what add-ons you desire, and then let us do the work!

Add-ons may include additional guest admissions (child and/or adult), and various catering platter options.

Absolutely!

We provide the option to add-on an ice cream cake and candles to your package, however, you are most welcome to bring your own cake.

Please note that we, unfortunately, do not have the facilities to refrigerate your cake for you.

Our Koala Package and Dingo Pack party packages include catering, so please be sure to review the information on our website relevant to your party package to understand what will be inclusive of your package deal. 

We do offer the ability to add on additional catered items, however, if you prefer to arrange your own catering items, you are most welcome to do so.

If you would prefer a fully self-catered party, our Joey’s Edition party package provides full flexibility in self-catering – so this may be the party package for you!

Self-catered items will require accompanying serving ware to be bought with you.

Please note that we, unfortunately, do not have the facilities to refrigerate or heat your self-catered food.

You will be required to bring your own serving platters for self-catered food.

Absolutely!

We provide complimentary decorations, however, you are most welcome to bring your own decorations and get creative – particularly if you have a specific theme you are wanting.

Weighted decorations and those that can be tied (to a table, pole, or rafter) are preferred. Sticky tape is not ideal as it has impacted the staining on our timber tables in the past.

Pins, nails, and screws are not permitted for safety reasons. Confetti is also not permitted.

As a part of our ongoing sustainability initiatives, we strongly discourage the use of balloons within the premises, however, we do allow balloons to be used for private functions such as birthday parties.

All balloons used for zoo parties are to be fixed to a balloon weight or secured within the party area (i.e to a pole or roof rafter) and are not to be walked around the wildlife park.

Non-fixed balloons are not permitted due to the risk of air pollution or ingestion of any plastics by our animals.

Absolutely!

Additional zoo party guests will receive a discounted admission price;

  • Additional child (Koala Package) – $35.00 per child. This price is inclusive of admission, catering, and a bag of animal food.
  • Additional child (Joey’s Edition and Dingo Pack) – 20% discount on the general admission price.
  • Additional adult – 20% discount on the general admission price.
  • Children under 3 years of age receive FREE admission 
  • Valid season pass holders receive FREE admission (memberships must be valid at the date of the event).

Please note that additional parents or guardians will not have access to the wildlife park or party unless they:

  1. pay admission upon arrival, or
  2. are included on the Zoo Party Guest List as one of your pre-paid guests.

For any adults not attending the party, please confirm a time with the parents or guardians to both drop-off, and collect their children at the front of the park entrance. Please ensure you are there to greet and meet them to ensure a safe handover to the parents or guardian and avoid any confusion.

Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian at all times.

We strongly advise for anticipated guest numbers of 50+ to discuss options with our Guest Services team prior to booking.

Our Guest Services team will be able to assist you further in deciding whether a zoo party or group booking will be best suited to your event.

We are very excited to be upgrading our admissions area, with a planned opening for Summer 2022 (pending delays due to wet weather). The new admissions facilities will include an admissions line for bookings – including zoo party guests.

Until this time, zoo party guests will be required to line up in the general admissions area.

We advise that your guests should arrive early to avoid delays during peak trade periods.

Zoo party guests are also welcome to utilise the ‘season pass’ line if / when this is available.

A reminder you and your guests have access to everything our park has to offer all day from 9.30 am – 5 pm.

We can increase the number of guests, however, we cannot refund any pre-paid guest admission ‘add-ons’ made at the time of making the booking, or leading up to the event – nor can we amend the admission numbers included in your party package. 

To provide you with flexibility and full confidence for any zoo party guests who may provide late notice cancellations, full outstanding payment for additional planned ‘add-on’ guest admissions will be required upon arrival at admissions on the day of your event.

Therefore, additional guest admission numbers (with the exclusion of the party package guest inclusions) can be added right up until the day of your event.

Our party packages are usually suited for a maximum of 50 guests. 

The area is surrounded by outdoor grass areas, and conveniently located next to our adventure playground – so there is ample outdoor space for guests. 

For any party expecting more than 50 guests, please contact our Guest Services team prior to booking to discuss your needs.

Our Zoo Parties are held in the undercover picnic area located directly next to the Adventure playground – the perfect location for kids!

This is an undercover, outdoor venue, within convenient proximity to our admissions area.

In the event of inclement weather, or for larger groups of 50+, events may be more suited to our Farmyard Picnic Shelter location pending availability.

This is also an undercover, outdoor venue – larger in space.

Please note that the complimentary decorations provided for our zoo parties will need to be altered for the farmyard location.

At Symbio, we are open rain, hail, or shine! We welcome visitors in all weather conditions, however, understand the impacts of heavy rain and/or wind may have on events such as zoo parties.

Our zoo party area is outdoors and sheltered. In the event of light rain or wind, this should* have minimal impact on zoo party bookings.

In the event of heavy or persistent rain and/or winds, we may offer to re-locate to our Farmyard Picnic Shelter (pending availability), however, please know that this is not a weatherproof solution.

We advise you to keep an eye on the weather forecast leading up to your event and contact our Guest Services team ahead of time if you have any concerns or questions.

Please ensure to review our cancellation policy to avoid disappointment.

We understand, particularly during these unprecedented times, that plans can change.

Therefore cancellations are transferable where you can either;

  1. select a new date for your party, or
  2. transfer the payment amount into a credit which can be utilised for season passes, behind-the-scenes encounters, junior keeper camp experiences, or others.

We roster our party hosts a minimum of 14 days in advance and order catering supplies a minimum of 7 days in advance.

Late notice cancellations impact our staffing, and food wastage, and negate the ability to re-fill the booking – therefore as much notice as possible for any cancellations is always appreciated.

Cancellations made within 48 hours or less of the booking, will incur a 20% cancellation fee, which will be deducted from the total credit amount.

All cancellations are to be communicated in writing via email to Guestservices@symbiozoo.com.au

Phone cancellations are not accepted – written confirmation is required. 

Cancellations made 7+ days prior to the booking, may be entitled to a refund. A minimum of 7 full days’ written notice is required to be eligible for a refund.

Cancellations made with less than 7 days’ notice may be entitled to have the payment amount transferrable where you can either;

  1. select a new date for your party, or
  2. transfer the payment amount into a credit which can be utilised for season passes, behind-the-scenes encounters, junior keeper camp experiences, or others.

Cancellations made within 48 hours or less of the booking, will incur a 20% cancellation fee, which will be deducted from the total credit amount.

Your zoo party package includes a 15-minute private group reptile experience, and your zoo party guests will have unlimited access to our adventure playground, splash park as well as amazing wildlife.

Should you feel your event requires additional entertainment, you are welcome to hire pre-approved entertainment. Suggested entertainment approved for zoo parties may include facing paintings and some* characters (for example Spiderman, Elsa, fairies, etc) who will be stationed within the party area and undertake activities that do not pose a risk to our visitors, animals, or property.

For the welfare of our animals, entertainment including (but not limited to) balloon artists, external animals, fire, or loud noises is not permitted.

Admissions fees will apply for entertainers.

In the event you are wanting extra entertainment, please ensure to contact our Guest Services team at Guestservices@symbiozoo.com.au prior to booking entertainment to discuss suitable options and logistics.

We have hand-made material bunting, table cloths, and table runner decorations for our zoo parties to eliminate the need for disposable decorations such as plastic table cloths, balloons, and banners.

We also provide compostable plates, cups, spoons, and napkins for catered zoo party guests.

Some ways you can help make your party more sustainable may include:

  • Encourage zoo party guests to bring their own drink bottle(s) to save on single-use cups.
  • Encourage sustainably sourced gifts and/or gifts that will grow with your child and last for years to come.
  • Reduce soft plastics by using wrapper-free lollies and chocolates in your party bags.
  • Provide seed packets or kids’ crafts rather than plastic toys in your party bags.
  • Use recyclable kraft bags for party bags – they can also be decorated by the kids!
  • If you are to bring any decorations of your own, please don’t throw them away after use – take them home for re-use at a later date or pass them on to someone who will.
  • Use eco bubbles rather than confetti (please note that confetti is also not permitted).
  • For self-catered parties, source compostable serving ware (cups, spoons, plates, etc) rather than plastic items.
  • Rather than buying new wrapping paper, reuse any recyclable shipping packaging for wrapping presents (for example, tissue paper, kraft shipping paper packaging, honeycomb paper wrap, etc) and get the kids to decorate it with drawings or paint! A flower can also be used instead of a bow.
  • Save any gift bags received for presents, for re-use at a later date.
  • Bring Tupperware containers for leftover food and cake, rather than disposable containers.
  • Bring a re-useable bag(s) to transport presents back home.
